    On Saturday we went there, we saw a car that we were happy with. We had to put a deposit down ( we made sure this was refundable in case it fell through). We wanted pay upfront most of the amount as we already have mortgage and so on to pay, and we would finance the rest. We just had a bad news thus we are now facing some financial difficulties, we headed to Scarborough Toyota before finance or anything was approved to explain our situation.

    My partner and I came in to test drive a few vehicles and were assisted by Josh, who had called me the day before to set up an appointment after I contacted the dealership via online form. We were greeted by every single person there with a wide smile. Josh was then called to meet us and he was very enthusiastic and ready to jump onboard indecision and questions train. He was very patient and eager to assist, took us both on long drives and two different vehicles. Not only did he know his business but he was also very helpful in giving us truthful information and good comparisons with other car brands. He liaised well with his manager and got us both great deals! Our experience with Toyota Scarboro was wonderful and we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for great service and great cars.

    I also asked if we could buy something more affordable so that we don’t have to have a huge lasting debt, so that the company can still make some money. Apparently the chosen car at first had to be sold, so at the end of the day they did not care if we are humans facing difficulties or not.

    We had asked for 2 items ( just small ones) to be attended to on the vehicle, prior to picking up the vehicle neither were done 1 week later and the car was filthy when we picked it up.

    My gripe is with the Dealer Principal not even bothering to reply to my email (written or otherwise) with any form of apology in the matter (the apology is warranted). They only resolution "updates" I was getting through this whole time was through the rep (Jerome Romero) who fortunately was always polite and helpful. I do not feel at all that the Dealer Principal has/had any concern for my matter or how the issue has inconvenienced me (and cost me money as well). As I stated above it was a serious matter.. I would have expected the Dealer Principal would have made it his priority to personally contact me to restore some confidence in his dealership.

    Yes I washed the vehicle and my daughter was very pleased with the car and I will get the 2 items done by our local Toyota Dealer much easier that taking it back and going through that again!

    Phoned Monday about an advertised vehicle to look at and arranged an appointment to view it on Friday only to be told on Friday, when we arrived at the dealers, that they had Sold the car ( a courtesy call would have helped as I work 100kms away and they had my contact details). So we picked out another car to buy and 1.5hrs later we were still there trying to purchase the car ( Don't try to trade in your vehicle that's way to hard). My wife was amazed at the my patience during this long, long process.

    We begged them to at least negotiate on that 15% fee ( on the contract it did say “ the dealer MAY charge UP TO 15%) which means they don’t have to charge that much. But of course, they did not want to hear anything.

    They are excellent at asking you for tea or coffee and making you sit and wait, but as for selling vehicles sorry that is the hard part.

    Apparently there’s no way out of it even though our financial situation has changed, at the time we got there ( at 2pm)our finance was not approved- we talked to Michael the manager and try to find an understanding but in vain.

    He told we had only two solutions, finance most of the amount ( which means we struggle and have longer debt) or pay them 15% NON NEGOTIABLE as a fee to break that contract which I thought was for the deposit until finance is approved. So we either have a huge debt -me being part timer ( 20hrs) and hubby casual or pay $4000 as a fee and not getting anything!

    The young gentlemen Tony who served me was an real professional with impeccable manner. He really knew and loved cars; patiently answered all my queries and concerns. The whole thing was totally painless. What he made the whole buying experience an extra memorable one for me was the way he presented the car to me. As promised it arrived the following week. There, in the centre of the showroom, with my name written on a stand right next to the car covered with velvety red satin;

    I really hope there could be some compassion specially being our very first experience buying from a dealer and we thought Toyota would be good, we also wished the staff could maybe educate us with those strict terms because when signing we asked 10 times if the deposit was refundable.
